I had the pleasure of having dinner with some lovely people on Sunday evening. Dinner took place in an old hop kiln in the Lower Yakima Valley.

It had been blazing hot all day–hovering around 103 degrees. By the time I got to the Lower Valley things had begun to cool down, barely. By the time dinner was over the light was just perfect to take photos.
If you haven’t experienced a Yakima summer, you should. There is almost no describing the beauty of the sunsets and the quality of light this time of year.

By the time I was done taking photos a storm began to roll in. You can see the dark clouds coming up over the barn. For those of you who are local, how brilliant was that electrical storm?! Lightening moved across the sky like nothing I’ve seen before.
Thank you Laura and Reid for sharing your beautiful place with me. It was such a treat!
Beautiful pictures!
Thank you Stefanie!
